Architect's Group of Mobile and reopened in September 2002, this spectacular
museum is now the largest art museum along the Gulf Coast from New Orleans to
Tampa. Mobile's equisite showplace includes galleries
for blockbuster exhibitions, travelling exhibits, the museum's collection of
fine arts and crafts, and regional and student art exhibits. The museum also
includes a state-of-the-art
education wing with interactive hands-on gallery, orientation
theater and classrooms, and an auditorium for lectures and meetings.
Nevada
Museum of Art The NMA is the oldest cultural institution in the state of
Nevada. Founded in 1931 as the Nevada Art Gallery by Dr. James Church and
Charles F. Cutts, the organization provides a forum for community visual arts
activities, exhibitions, and artists. With Cutt's bequest of his Ralston Street
home and collection in 1949, the Gallery obtained a facility and the foundation
of a permanent collection.
